Hello there I read your story on Didi's page. Thanks for sharing your journey. I am going in November for a tummy tuck, a breast reduction and lift and hopefully arm lift. I will be at CheTica and using Dr. Lev. I plan on being there 5-6 weeks as we are looking at retiring in Costa Rica in a few years and will spend days upfront touring. I am so please you are pleased which makes me more confident. I so look forward to stay at CheTica I love nature the privacy etc.
Congrats!! You will love Dr. Lev, CheTica, Costa Rica and this new adventure! I'm still in contact with Lorena & Ruben @ CheTica and I'm going back June 30th for a July 1st arm & "back fat" surgery!! Can hardly wait to get back there!! Let me know if you have any questions. Didi can give you my email address.
Good Luck...please let us know how you're doing!!
I didn't use Dr. Lev cordinator just been reseaching doctors myself. I am presently in Costa Rica for the next 2-3 months. I also had a large amount of weight loss several years ago and my sagging horrible stomach (worse then yours) has been my daily nightmare. I am planning to see 3 plastic surgeons here. So far I have seen 2 and Dr. Lev seems to be the best one and the most comfortable and safe I feel. I am an RN so well aware of what a serious, massive and painful surgery it is. I want the best of course and cost allowable as well. Reading what you wrote just made me feel soooooo much better and your help and guidance has really helped me. Sometimes I know as an RN we don't get a THANK YOU'..........so from me to you THANK YOU VERY MUCH.
You are VERY welcome! Glad you are going with Dr. Lev! He truly is a precious man and an incredible surgeon. I saw many people while in recovery there and I can tell you that I felt beyond blessed that he was my surgeon! Have an amazing time! I had to reschedule my arms and legs but am going back Feb 2!! Can't wait!!
I am surprised that a tummy tuck is 14,000? is that all you had done?

ORIGINAL POST

I lost over 200 lbs and had a TON of excess skin....

I lost over 200 lbs and had a TON of excess skin. A long-time friend of mine had gone to Dr. Lev for the same procedure and was so pleased. After consulting with doctors (actually their nurses!) I found out that JUST the tummy tuck was $25,000! Not including hospital, anesthesia, etc!!
I began emailing with Dr. Lev's surgical coordinator, Didi, and felt total confidence and peace.
On June 18, 2013 I had 9 lbs of skin removed! Dr. Lev is the kindest, most skilled surgeon and man I know. There is no "middle man" once you are there with him. He answers your questions, he removes bandages, cleans you, removes stitches, etc. You don't see a nurse.... you see your surgeon!!
Didi, Dr. Lev, the Cima Hospital staff, Dr. Greenwood (anesthesiologist) and the ENTIRE staff at the CheTica Recovery Ranch were more than I could have imagined or dreamed! They all are why my recovery has been so wonderful and easy. Leaving Costa Rica was the hardest thing I've done. It was the best experience in my life, aside from having my children. :)
I'm going back in April 2014 for my arms.
I have many, many pictures of Costa Rica, Before & After's, CheTica, the staff, etc if you would like to see them!

Welcome to the community.  Wow you look amazing and should be very proud of the weight loss.  Definitely want to hear about and see the arm results this spring.  You are a completely new woman.

Thank you!! I feel absolutely amazing!! Will keep everyone posted!
Looking forward to that.
Congrats on the amazing weight loss seems like you are very satisfied with your surgeon. I am in the beginning process right now of researching for abdominoplasty in south America. I am a registered nurse in Washington state and can't afford to have it done here. I am very scared that I am not going to find the right PS. Are you still happy with your choice and have you gone back again to get your arms done. I am planning on having this done in April 2014.
Thank you! It's been an incredible journey... the hardest yet most rewarding ever! I would recommend my surgeon, his surgical liaison, CIMA hospital (I am having my arm surgery done at the clinic!!), CheTica recovery ranch, the entire experience to anyone! I would be totally at peace if my daughter, mother, sister, etc said they were going there. Totally! Yes, I am going back to have my arms and "back fat" removed and I can hardly wait!!
